MPS Management:
All Hosting Shop MPS servers include basic server management and support. Hosting Shop will provide up to 1 hour of custom support per month assisting with server software installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
Hosting Shop also provides you with full root / administrator access to your MPS providing you with full control. Any issues caused by the customer are not covered by our Server Management service and if Hosting Shop server administrators are required to provide technical support it will be billed at the standard hourly rate.

MPS Backups:
All Hosting Shop MPS servers come with mounted backup space enabling you to configure your MPS to backup at regular intervals. Mounted backup space appears on your MPS as a second drive/partition and therefore is accessed directly through your MPS. Data stored on your mounted backup space is physically seperate from your production storage space to ensure your backups are secure.
We recommend that in addition to configuring your MPS to backup to the mounted back up space, you regularly download copies of your stored backups as an additional level of redundancy.

The platform:
Hosting Shop MPSs are powered by VMware Infrastructure 3; the world's leading virtualisation platform. Unlike other service providers, Hosting Shop MPSs are real Virtual Machines, each with their own operating system which ensures maximum performance, reliability, and security.
The hardware:
Hosting Shop MPSs are hosted from state-of-the-art fully redundant IBM blade centres. Each blade provides Dual Quad Core Xeon 3.0 GHz processors and at least 32 GB of PC2-5300 ECC DDR2 memory. All blade centres are powered by redundant power supplies and boast the advantage of redundant backplanes to ensure total reliability.
Each blade centre is connected to dual fibre attached SANs. Each SAN contains both production and backup storage. Production storage is driven from RAID5 protected 15,000 RPM SAS disks while backup storage is driven from RAID5 protected 10,000 RPM SATA disks.
The entire solution has been engineered to provide the highest performance MPS solution in Australia backed by unparalleled reliability.
